Starving arts for starving artists, laddies! Writers, poets, starving literary giants of tomorrow lend me your ears! Bring me your poor, your tired, your wretched forgotten culture-heroes! Wee-bah!
the starving, bleeding, vomiting edge
of modern literature

Homelessness, at last!

My body is as much the street
as any dance is dancing feet,
as surely as the future saves
its sand beneath its salty waves
and bakes my heart just right
          in summer heat.

My landlord is my one and all—
yes, Dad and I are great and small,
as surely as the past presides
its court of what the day provides
and makes the meek to smile
          in the fall.
